Superfatted soap with extra virgin olive oil
What is a superfatted soap?
A superfatted soap contains more oil than saponification can turn into soap. The share of oil that stays unchanged in the bar is called the superfat. The higher the percentage, the milder and richer the soap.
10, 15 or 20 %: which one to choose?
- 10 %: Carré. For body and hands, every day.
- 15 %: Triangle. For body, face and medium to thick hair.
- 20 %: Cercle and Ovale. For the face, sensitive skin and thick hair. The Ovale comes in a small size, for guests or travelling.
Why organic extra virgin olive oil?
Our soaps are made with a single oil: Juventud organic extra virgin olive oil from Spain, the very same one we sell in the shop. No palm oil, no coconut oil. Extra virgin olive oil gives a mild soap with a fine, creamy lather. It travels about 1,400 km to Sool, 4.5 times less than a Swiss soap based on palm or coconut oil.
Cold-processed, handmade in Sool
Every soap is made by hand in Sool, in the canton of Glarus, using the cold process.
